Select non-favorite waypoint for a function

For selecting waypoints - can I select a waypoint from a category/list that is not "favorites"?

For example: I would like to create a line between to existing waypoints. These waypoints were added to the (new) category "geocaching".

When I create the line, I can select waypoints either via the map (screen) or from the category "favorites".

I would like to create the line when selecting these wayponts directly from the category "geocaching".
