Unfinished Track lost when switching App to background

zhaelon shared this problem 6 years ago
Solved

When you create a new track and - for example to look up some information - switch from Locus to another app and back to Locus, it closes the track creation tool and loses the unsaved track.

Would it be possible to add a temporary storage for the unfinished Track such that it can be reinitialized?

Good day zhaelon,

we are talking here about creating track over "Add new route" function? This feature will be completely changed to new system in one of coming versions and I'm sure that this problem won't appear anymore ( new "Route planner" will be separate screen that will keep it's history even if closed ).

Hey Menion,

Yes, that's what I was referring to. That you already planned a new plan a new route planner is awesome :-) if you need someone to beta test it, just let me know!

I wrote an additional idea suggestion for the mode (Enhancing Track Creation), but you may have already planned for that as well during the overhaul.

Hello,

oki, fine.

And if you have time and wants to test it, Beta testers are always welcome.

Hi Menion,

That seems to work in the beta. Thanks :-)

However, I cannot log into the forum and comment on the new route planner, as I never receive the Activation Code (neither spam nor inbox), though I double checked the email already. Hope this will work at some point :-)

Cheers,

Zhaelon
