Strava Labs updated the Global Heatmap today. Can someone update the required .png and .xml files for a new custom map? Thanks!

I see no differences, if you had it working.. dont touch it. Attached a screenshot after cleared cache on both.

I use them as overlay to find those unmarked trails.

I have the older map and use it for similar reason you mentioned. Just because you are not seeing any differences does not mean there are none in the current release. I guess in the area you captured in your screenshot there have been no new trail/route developments. I see many new traces in my area. Plus more layer options including satellite.

I'm still interested in learning how to get the files from this new update.

I can confirm that the new 2017 Strava Heatmap contains a lot of new information.

However, Strava's TMS servers have not been updated with the 2017 data.

"http://a-globalheat.strava.com/tiles/running/..." still delivers the older data (2015).

If the 2017 data will be provided by a different TMS server, Strava has not published the new URL (if they have, I haven't found it ... yet).
