When i export a Screenshot of the current map view, i'd like to hide the center cross on the resulting jpeg (because it does nothing useful there). Is there a way to do this? (see jpeg with cross).

Is there a way to hide the center cross while retaining other cursors intact? Nocross.zip disables them all for me.

Hi, remove all files from the nocross.zip but one - ic_location_cross.png. Re-zip the file and put it in Locus/icons/cursors folder. Select the no-cross in settings > Maps > Map objects > Map cursor

Hello,

As other inquirers, I'm trying to hide the center cross for screenshots.

Firstly, I don't have a setting 'Maps > Map objects', but there is a 'Controlling>Map screen> Map cursors'. Interestingly, the help documentation under 'Basic cursors' gives also a nonexistent 'Maps > Map cursors'. In the present User Guide there is no setting like 'Maps > Map objects' or 'Maps > Map cursors', maybe updates changed the path. In any case, I suppose the 'Controlling>Map screen> Map cursors' path is the correct one.

My second, main, problem is that I keep getting under icon customization only the Default, but nothing more, despite the presence of the icons/cursors/nocross.zip file. I tried the full nocross.zip with four pictures, and the clipped and rezipped one with one picture, but no new option appears beside Default in the settings. I did use as prescribed the nocross.zip files with the empty pictures.

Actually making the cross minimal, 50%, is already a step in the good direction, but why cannot one make it even smaller down to 0?

Any idea would be appreciated.

Best,

Géza

Hi Géza,

thanks for notifying us about the obsolete info in the manual. It's been updated.

I've tested the "nocross.zip" file with no problem - it appears in the list of cursors. Have you restarted Locus after adding it to the icons/cursors folder?

Thank you, Michael, for the quick answer, you're operating an excellent help desk.

Hmm, I restarted it several times. I attach a screenshot of the file manager, is everything in order? The phone is a Galaxy S7 Edge, Locus is kept in internal storage. The nocross.zip has four blank pictures, as it should.

Or could I decrease the size of the cross more?

Hi Géza,

the file path looks alright. I'm sending a file that I tested without problems.

Mysteriously it still doesn't work.

Can I delete and then reinstall LM Pro with all configurations kept as presently?

Yes you can but make a backup of your data with the backup manager https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:backup

Thank you for the discussion,
