How accurate are `New Waypoints` ?

How are the coordinates for a new waypoint calculated?

Are these just the actual measured GPS- coords, or is it possible to make a lot of measures (about half a minute or so) and calculate the waypoint from the average of this measurements? I would like the last very much, but didn`t find how to...

Thanks a lot,

Have a look at the Locus Co-App "GPS Averaging"

thanks berkley, exactly! Locus itself do not apply any filter on coordinates. So if you store new waypoint in Locus, it`s just one coordinate pair Locus received from GPS. For some averaging, follow berkley`s link for 3rd party program that works also together with Locus
