SRTM files for Lomaps - version and precision

Hi,

Can anyone confirm that the SRTM files dowloaded and used by Lomaps correspond to the version 2.1 from USGS. A second question: are these files SRTM3 (3") or SRTM30 (30").

Best regards

Hi,

the elevation data are SRTM3 (3 arc) "precision". The data itself are mainly from http://viewfinderpanoramas.org/dem3.html project. In Austria, Slovenia and part of Germany are generated from local lidar missions.

Is that correct? When I download elevation data from locus, then I already have the LIDAR data (where available).

I'm nor sure if I can understand the question. In mentioned countries are elevation data (*.hgt files) really generated from LIDAR data.
