Backup notification does not disappear in 2.8.1

The automatic backup (in the night) leaves a notification in the task bar. Normally in Android, reading a notification makes it disappear. Not this one. I need a phone restart to make it disappear. It`s about the top-left symbol

phone restart?

You cannot just tap on it or drag it away?

What Android version and ROM are you using?

Notification about auto-backup is good. It should just disappear when I click on it. Instead it remains, disturbingly.

On Android 4.0.3, htc sense 3.6

I am on Android 2.2.2. stock on a Motorola Defy. Rooted for one trick: Set vm.min_free_kbytes=4096; this one is needed on most Froyo versions to keep Google maps from freezing/crashing). Locus 2.8.1.

I emailed a Catlog, don`t know if it helps. This was just doing: pulling down the notification bar and tapping the message.

Agree, problem solved. The notification behaviour is standard Android now and good.

A small but: when enabling the Automatic Backup, I can change the date (through a pop-up +/- thingy) but I can not change the time. Short pressing does nothing, long pressing gives me a keyboard style magnifier where you can move the cursor to where you want in 01:00 but the keyboard does not open after that (if that is what is intended?). Not a big problem for me, 01:00 is allright.

thanks for confirmation of fix

I`m testing settings of time on older 2.1 device, and seems to works correctly. By tapping on time, you should get same popup dialog as for date, where you may set values. This is not happening to you?

Well I saw it now, two times out of 30 taps. The area seems not only small but irregular.

Date is always a hit.

Notification too, even all along a horizontal bar (in the frame).

But time is hard to hit.

Easy to miss; some small spot around the last 0 of 01:00 seems active. Once missed, nearly all my next taps give me this magnifier, like you get when long pressing a text line (and then position your cursor).

But please only make a note and leave it for now. :)
