Map centering always enabled on start-up.

Is there an option to start Locus Map with map centering always enabled.

Currently it appears you have to tap the map centre icon ۞ at the bottom-left of the screen to toggle the feature on and off (Locus Map reinstates it's last mode on start-up)

Having the option to always enable it at start-up would very helpful :)

Thanks :-)

Hello,

suggest to give a try to settings > maps > control > "Hold map center" feature. This should help.

Hi,

I'd rather not enable the "Hold map center" feature as I've found to be an annoyance in the past.

However I can see its usefulness in other scenarios.

I had a situation recently where I just needed to quickly needed to fire up Locus Map to know where I was... the weather was very bad weather and the centre map feature must have been toggled to off when I last used Locus Map.

Having to click the small the map centre icon was difficult due to the heavy snow, strong wind and having to remove my glove to click the tiny icon.

From personal experience I would almost always prefer Locus Map to start-up showing where I am rather than where I was last browsing the map.

Hello,

I believe that current system is logical. You stop app with centering enabled, it's then restored with centering enabled.

Just tested with Google Maps and it behaves exactly like this.

If you need to have centering always enabled, really reconsider using "hold map center" function.

Thanks for understanding.

Okay... I was just thinking you might be open to user suggestions for useful additional features?

Yes I'm. That's also one of the reasons, why this help desk exists.

Anyway, what we discuss here is a very very basic feature. Locus that way works since begin (so many years) and you are the first one who wants to change that behaviour. Believe, you will understand, that I simply do not want to change something that is expected. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for keeping your current logical setup.
