Locus needs access to "control Near Field Communication" ?

There is a difference between newest Locus Free version and previous one: new one requires additional priviledge namely "control Near Field Communication".
Is there known already a reason for that? Or it will be revealed after some time, when we will not have old version anymore?

There is a pretty cool function, that can read and write NFC tags. Therefore Locus needs to have the permission to do that.
