The setting "GPS Run at startup - always" doesn't work

Solved

Hi

In new version the setting "GPS turns on always when Locus Map is started" doesn't work in some cases (it depends on GSM stations locations). And the label with the GPS status is green.

It's not good situation because if i start recording a track, it will not be recorded actually.

Another problem is that when the Locus is started and if this setting works, the dialog with the suggestion to switch on GPS will appear in about 10 seconds after launch, but not immediately, as it should be.

Update: screen with GPS module off, started (but actually empty) track record, incorrect (green) GPS status label. And without a reminder to start GPS after Locus launch

Good day Dmitry,

unfortunately I'm still unable to simulate your problem. I've improved handling of GPS fix/not-fix state little bit based on our discussion in second topic, so let's wait, what next version brings.

About notification on disabled GPS in system: new version of app starts GPS little later then before (after whole initialization process is completed), so defined 15 seconds delay is probably too long, agree. I've now reduced it to 5 seconds, which should be better.

Good day

In the latest version this notification is appeared much faster then before, thank you!

But if option "Automatic start track" is on, the notification will be opened only after the "Automatic start track" dialog. I think it would be logical to have the opposite sequence.

Good day,

does it really make sense to have it opposite? I think that most important is "not to miss this information", right? Then it's probably better to display it after recording countdown ends? Hmm hard to say. as I think about it, best should be to display it permanently as some warning on the screen when no GPS source is enabled in the system. I'll think about it, thanks for now.
