"Translate text" not working

SV Hovland shared this problem 6 years ago
Solved

I cannot get the translate functionality i Locus map work. When I choose translate a geocache hint, Google translate opens, but not with any text translated. I have to input the text manually if I want the text translated.

I think from the past version of Locus they used a translator in the application.

Now I'm looking at sending it to an external application outside of Locus.

The problem of missing text is about googletranslate. Sometimes it happens. It is necessary to close (also from the background) googletranslate.

Ok, I installed the google translate app and could choose to open the translation there instead of the browser and it works as expected

Hello,

may you copy here a link that appears in your browser if you still select an web browser to translate? Because it should be simple Url like https://translate.google.com/#auto/cs/hello , which seems to work correctly. The alternative is to use Google Translate application which may work correctly in all cases, but web should as well :).

Ah perfect, thanks. Seems that Google translate ignore only two languages send from Locus. Norweign (should be "no" and not "nb" in Url) and Chinese. Will be fixed in next version.
