Solved

I can't initialize locus on my new tablet. It always stops with the (not very useful) error shown in the screenshot.

Good day Ulrich,

sorry for such weird error message. As I see in the code, this may happen in case of problematic internet connection. As I see, it does not exactly mean that internet in the device is not available, but somehow it is blocked for Locus Map app, is it possible?

If you won't be able to find out the reason of this, in log should be also error message. So log created by this method should help as well. Thanks

Thanks for the hint. With that it was easy to find and fix.

You can close the issue. However a more intuitive error message would have been helpful 😉

Hello Ulrich,

you wrote "With that it was easy to find and fix". May you give me some more information, what you have changed that solved this problem? Maybe this helps me to improve this error message, thanks.

Actually all I did was turning off WiFi and using 4G for initializing - without any further debugging. And since that worked instantly, I did not sign into it any further. 😉

Cheers, Ulrich
