Show POI labels depend on zoom or density of POIs.

It would by great to see POI labels when map zoom is high or density of POIs (caches) on screen is low. When zoom is low and there is full of caches on the screen, showing labels causes illegible and slower reaction of Locus. In this case labels should be off. But on the other case when there is a little POIs on the screen labels should be on.

It could be done by adding another option to Map - objects & style -> Show labels (Waypoints) -> Intelligent (new option).

Hi Robin,

if you enable visibility of labels to always, they do not draw all if there is more then 100 labels at once. So it`s already little bit "intelligent". So I don`t see a big difference between your proposal and current system

Ok. What about add insert maximum number of visible labels to config file?

A method that would really work is described here: https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/top...

Unfortunately, it died because of not enough interest :/. There dont seem to be enough Locus "power" users with big datasets.

I reject this idea, not because I don`t like it, but because it`s very similar to topic that joeloc mention above https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/top...

so I suggest to vote there if you`re interested in better way to display points on map and if you`re still not yet satisfied in improvements in latest version (simplification of points at lower zoom levels)
