GPX import is importing wrong file

Johannes Müller shared this problem 7 years ago
Not a Problem

With the latest version of Locus Map Pro (3.30.4 of 26.04.2018), I observe the following /p>

Steps to reproduce:

  • I go on the overflow menu of a Track folder and choose "Import"
  • I choose a file from a file system folder, let's name it A.gpx
  • In the import menu, I choose "Update altitude data" (or similar, I am translating from German at the moment)
  • I choose "Import"

Expected outcome:

  • A.gpx is imported into the chosen Tracks folder.

Observered outcome:

  • A different file is imported (let's name it B.gpx), no matter what I do.
  • I can repeat this multiple times. It's always B.gpx that will be imported.

The device is a OnePlus 2 with Android 6.0.1

Good day Johannes,

thank you for a very precise bug report. Unfortunately, I'm unable to simulate this problem on own device.

Should be possible to share with me your A and B files for test on own device? Thank you

Hi Menion, it turned out that this is not a problem with Locus Map at all, but with the the export of the GPSies app (v2.1.4 of 20. Feb 2018). The latter is sometimes exporting wrong GPX files / opening wrong GPSies URLs. I have just created a bug report in the GPSies forum (in German):

"GPSies-Android-App v2.1.4 öffnet falsche GPSies-URL":

Thanks though for your quick reaction!
