Function panel: Share position with specific external app

So far, external apps added to the function panel are just started. It should be possible to also pass the current map position (center) to the app, just like Share > Other map apps > Select does. What save a lot of taps (and looking for the right icon) for much needed calls, like passing a destination to a car navigation app.

Hello Ingo,

as I also see in mentioned topic, your use is to start Sygic from app for a certain point.

Isn't a lot easier to tap on point, display it's detail and from bottom menu choose "Sygic"?

Yes, for POIs I agree that's good enough. That's why I wrote the idea only for "Map center", because on the road, I often don't have a POI stored, but find the destination within Locus. Sygic is terrible at zooming/moving around a map (dunno what they messed up, but zooming in/out always moves the map and is slow).

Ah understand. Quick solution is long-click on the map center, which open same popup like click on a point. There is also an area defined by size of center cross, so it is safe to long click anywhere on this center icon ... it will always be exact coordinates in center.

I understand your point Ingo, but you will have to deal with existing solutions here. Starting a 3rd party app is one-time action that happens in the worst case, few times per day.

On the second side, every app handle coordinates in request little bit "differently", which may cause problems. Apps visible in the menu on my screenshot are all tested and Locus Map communicates with them by methods, that developers prepared. So it really should always start navigation on defined point. Start navigation app from menu > share > map apps, may usually only display a point on the map, but does not start navigation. In this second case, Locus does not guarantee what happen. So if possible use directly existing points or long click on map center and then "Navigation menu" at the bottom (on the screenshot).

Thanks for understanding.

Ok, fair enough, I see your point. I did now about the long click, but was in fact worried that it might not be very exact, so I always zoomed in a lot. Knowing about that "catch zone" around the center cross makes a big difference here.
