Calibrator of maps. Optimization of actions.

Calibrator of maps.

When I click the button "Add" point, the photo is opened and the cursor is set to the position "left upper corner". It is necessary that the cursor position and scale of the photo are remembered and restored when the photo is opened for the new added points 2,3,4, ....

When I press the "map" icon, the card opens in the state in which it was before calling the "Map Calibrator" tool. It is necessary that for new points 2 and 3, the map opens in the same place and scale as was last closed.

Good day Rotko,

I've improved system little bit, so believe it will be a lot more user-friendly in next Locus Map version. Thanks for an idea.

Menion, Forgot to write ...It would be useful to be able to rotate the photo after its addition to the maps calibrator.

Good day Rotko,

hmm, I never had a problem with it. You take a photo with your camera and it is incorrectly rotated in calibrator? Or you try to calibrate image took from some external source (internet)?

I'm taking pictures from the phone's camera.

Ah. I'm checking the source code and you are correct, Locus Map currently ignores "rotate" parameter in EXIF data of the selected image.

Unfortunately currently unsolvable problem.

It's a pity. But this is a solvable problem. It will be necessary to rotate the phone. :-)

Меньон , The second part of my idea remained unrealized. :-(

After adding the second and third calibration points, similarly to the first point, I'm forced to search for the desired place on the map for a long time. It would be nice to save the last scale and position of the map.

And I also suggest displaying the calibration points not only in the photo, but also on the map. This will speed up the search for the desired location on the map.

I want to ask a question related to this topic.

The Locus calculates the fourth point by the known three and opens the map in the right place. This is a very useful feature.

But is it not possible to calculate the position of the third point from already given two?

Two points in the picture and on the map determine the scale.

Two points on the map also determine the direction.

This data is sufficient to calculate the third point.
