Convert or read .img (garmin) map

Hello, good day.
I would ask them if anyone knows or has been a tool to convert maps of type ".img" (garmin) to a format that can be used as Locus map offline.
For Argentina there is a project (www.proyectomapear.com.ar) keeps very current route data, but the format is img like to add to a Garmin GPS. These maps also contain POIs.
