CSV in to points

I have been able to import the converted file here but it does not bring in the phone numbers. I have tried numerous times using gpsbabel but I can’t get any phone number to go in to the phone field of the point. As you know the phone field needs to be added. I would like the phone data inserted in to the phone field so I can just click and dial but I could live with it in the description field to. Since there are 23k this is too hard to manually edit.

I suspect it is a simple formatting in excel of the original csv???

Please help,

ok after some changing the headers in the csv then using gpsvisualizer to make a gpx, I was able to get the phone numbers in to the description field on locus which is good...see attached gpx.

Does anyone know how to propagate the phone field in locus under edit/ links/add another field from this csv? Any phone number in this field is 1 click to begin the call which is the way this should work.

See attached gpx ? It seems no gpx is attached.

Ok...So let's start from begin.

By the attached csv file.

Start by pc software RtwTool.

Download the JavawaRtwtool.

http://www.javawa.nl/rtwtool_en.html

Open the csv file by the JavawaRtwtool.

Select simple. Select Longitude, latitude, name, phonenumber.

(Click column header to select field)

Export to gpx file.

Import the gpx file into Locus.

See the gpx file (zipped) created by JavawaRtwtool in the attachment.

Hope it helps.

Yes Michal that solved it...THANKS!

I know I'm supposed to make a different ticket but i figure I'll just put it here in the hopes it's a simple solution.

Within locus I tried to make an openstreetmap note and also edit an existing one and I get this constant error message???

Hi, I moved the new issue to a personal ticket. Simple solutions are not always the right ones. :)

Hi Michal...may I have the link for the private ticket? I do not see it anywhere.

Hi, another colleague has been assigned to the ticket and he found the issue has been solved - it'll come to effect in the next Locus version (so far it can be tested on Locus Free Beta only)
