navigate to next waypoint after lost of GPS signal

Hi, during a trip through Switzerland with a motorcycle every time I drive through a tunnel locus lost the focus on the navigation of a planned route because of the lost of the gps signal.

To get the focus on the tour again I have manually activate next waypoint several times until the right next waypoint was selected.

My proposal : after the lost of gps select the logical next waypoint from the actual position you get after reconnect to satellite to navigate the actual route.

Hi Gerald,

do you have automatic recalculation with route priority on? (http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation:settings#route_re-calculation)

No, I haven't. But this will not solve the problem when a waypoint is in the tunnel behind you. You will be guided backwards in this case. And you lost the planned route because you will be guided directly to your destination and this is not the way I want.

But what is with point priority? Will the route be continued with the next point in front of you? In this case this would help. Or can it be that the nearest point is backwards and you must turn back?

Hi Gerald,

  • Point priority - Locus recalculates the route to the nearest transit (or 'via') point on the planned route. If there are no 'via' points, it recalculates the route to the final point.
  • Route priority - used when you deviate from the original line and want to get back to it - Locus navigates you to the original line as soon as possible and on the nearest place - the line (route) matters.
