Solved

Hi,

i tried now several times to export some tracks as gpx files to my Google Drive, witch is working fine, but when is try to import them to my maps in Google Maps i get the error message: File not supported. I tried it with Base Camp and error as well. But with app GPX Viewer i was able to open them. With previous versions of Locus Map it worked just fine.

Good day Tibor,

may you please upload here a single GPX file that causes you trouble? So I may play with correct file and not with my own exported GPX file, that may (or may not) work. Thanks.

Hi,

thank you for your quick reply. I tried several times, since i opened the topic and finaly i found the problem. It is on Google Map problem as it seems, or some settings in my Drive. The upload just fails if i try to open your gpx files via Google Drive. If i upload them from the computer the get imported whitout problems.

Interesting. And all these files has ending ".gpx" right? What about details in details screen in Google Drive? There have to be any difference :).

Yes, all files are gpx files, just the creating program is different. In the details at the Locus gpx files type: unknown, at the other XML file. I found at the Google Map help some questions regarding this issue, but no anwers. But it's only a problem to upload via Drive.

Good day Tibor,

not sure how may I help here. Google provides the method of how to upload files to Google Drive, where is necessary to define "mime type" for an uploaded file. Locus Map set for GPX mime type "application/gpx+xml" , which, based on for example this page, is correct value. So it looks like on Locus Map side, all si correct. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for your help. The problem is on Google not on you guys. I found a way arround it with the upload from the PC or phone, so i can add my tracks to my maps.
