Route planner: Change the sequence of via-point and shaping-point and recalculate.

Completed

I create several via point and shaping point. Then I calculate the route. Now I want to change the sequence of the points. Point 2 should be between point 3 and 4 (then point 3 becomes number 2. And what point 2 was later is point 3) And point 5 should be in second place (As a result, the (new) points 2 to 4 would move one point backward. Only the 6 would stay)

Then I want to recreate the calculation of the route and check the result.

Such a function is also available in "Navigate To"Could you take over from there in the route planner

The question is, how do you get the via/shape points from the routeplanner to the navigation of your screnshot.

Another idea for implementing the proposal.

All points (Shap and Via) in a list.

Then change order, choose.

The numbers of the points (1, 2, 3 ....) are then highlighted in gray.

Then I write in new numbers.

Locus changes the route to the new numbers order.

Honestly, Menion and Team, nowadays this is too basic to be not implemented in Locus, IMHO.

Also it makes sense to close the artificial gap between route-planning and navigation.

As you cannot switch maps in route-planning you have to limit yourself to close-distance plannings and scroll and zoom a lot to select your points..you will bite yourself if you do a mistake.

Well easy to add more reasons and examples, but as we all are very in the topic it's not necessary I guess.

Maybe you can organise it that at a certain point (route-planning > 'manage points' e.g.) the identical dialog/window will appear, the blue 'navigation'-button is conditional and changes with regard to route-planning or navigation, and after pressing it you will get brought back. Sort of..

T-mo, changes regards "unification" of "Navigate to" and "Route planner" are really planned. Hopefully this year (finally).

Nice to hear. Yeah, you've got the 2020-master-list and know what's best next :-) there still has not been a real feedback to this topic yet, even though it has been mentioned several times here and there. That still makes different people stumble upon this throughout the last 1,5year I guess, some still several times..google-maps, viamichelin, graphhopper, kurviger, ..contemporary as self-explanatory, human love to work with easy manageable lists &:-P

Thank you for your time and reply

Reversing the whole route is generally not a solution to reversing a few via or shaping points within the route.

True.

I commented symmetrically due to a lack of proper linking of topics. And because this feature would solve the other problem I reported 🙂

This function has already been implemented in LM4 and is as good as done.
