Solved

hi, responding to the Google paly comment.

i have an issue with upgrading maps. i have 3 maps and 245 L coins available on my account. when i try to upgrade the maps (previous purchases say the price was 20, 25 and 65). the download says, e.g., it needs to download 187mb and when it comes to 192mb it crashes with a really non descriptive error, on all 3 maps (please see attached image). i have tried over wifi and over cell network and that was a lot of data for failed downloads. (Locus Map pro 3.37.0, Samsung S9, Android 9)4bd260f1378cb2cde2189f29fb9e38f5

Hi,

I'm sorry for troubles. Could I ask you for more info, please?

- does downloading crash in 50%

- do you use SDcard on your device?

- would you please send me screenshot from Menu > Settings > Miscellaneous > Default directories > (I'm interested in location of mapsVector folder)

Thank you

Petr

Crash happens always just as the progress bar gets over 50% and the downloaded data excedes the size the app says it needs to download.

Yes i do have a sdcard in my phone.

App is installed to phone and all paths should pou t to internal storage, just checked and backup is created on IS, no Locus files on SD.

Dear Marko,

thank you for info and screenshot. It seems that there is some problem during unpack the downloaded map file (map is downloaded as .zip package). Could I ask you for creation of debug log, please?

Thank you

Dear Marko,

thank you for bug report. Unfortunately the file is almost empty. The size should be about MB. Would you please try to create it again?

Thank you, Petr

Good day Marko,

thanks for the log. It seems to be created correctly, but unfortunately, I'm unable to find inside any useful information. No internal reported error from Locus Map and also no clearly visible problem with SSL certificate as you wrote, weird.

Unfortunately, you are the only one who reports us this problem and error message on your screenshot is quite useless. If I create a special test version, would you be willing to test it and create a log after problem in this test version (it will print more information into the log)?

Good evening Marco,

thanks. So if possible, install this special Beta version APK file (Beta version is just unlocked Free version as we describe here, so simply install it together with Pro version).

Start it, use it, try to download a map. After it fails, close it and in Locus/logs directory should be a log file which I need, thanks!

downloaded and installed. saved tracks are loaded fine. when i try to upgrade i get a invalid owner error (see PS in shared dir) and that i need to redownload from the store. in the store i dont have a download 'button' only an 'refresh' icon https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-Cf3eJthvBNdAhVRwDV_yg-I5ieQ4chi hope it helps with the solution of my problem. ill keep this version of the app installed until you tell me its ok to remove it or until the issue is solved. thank you very much

Hmm please open "Locus Store" in the main menu, try to log in there and then this "refresh" button should work correctly or directly over Locus Store screen. Hope it will start download as before. Seems here we have small problem and after install, old download does not start without correct login over Locus Store screen.

Good day Marko,

thanks for additional logs. I think we have identified an issue on our server. To fix this problem on your device, please do the following:

- open notification center (screen on screenshots with visible downloads) and remove all failed downloads by swiping left/right and confirmation

- open menu > Locus Store and start the download of maps here. You should see for purchased LoMaps only "download" button, so use it.

Let us know if it works, thanks. Btw. use regular Pro version, no need to play with send Beta version.
