Unable to login to GC on a Chromebook

I have Locus Pro running on a Chromebook. The last version worked perfectly but since updating to the latest version (3.37) I can't download PQs or update my finds count. I'm taken to an authorisation screen in the browser and when I click on agree I get an unsupported file message. (Locus://oauth.callback/geocaching?code=.......). Not sure if this is a problem with the new api or if I need to change a setting somewhere!!

Hello John,

hmm this may be quite a big problem. What web browser are you using in your Chromebook?

Good day John,

this is really weird. Don't you have Locus Map Free and Pro on the device at the same time? Just asking if the result of login is received in the same Locus Map version.

About login: you correctly enter name/pass in Chrome and after click on "Approve", what happens? Chrome closes and Locus Map reopen with this message?

I've only got the Pro version installed. What happens is, if I click on Load Pocket Queries, then the chrome browser opens (see attached file). Clicking on "agree" then, as you say, Chrome closes and Locus opens with the error message. To get round this problem I can download my PQs to my chromebook and then import them into Locus.

Good day John, thanks for additional information. Is it possible to install special Beta version, try same procedure and send me a log that this Beta produce?

If possible, install this special Beta version APK file (Beta version is just unlocked Free version as we describe here, so simply install it together with Pro version).

Start it, use it, try to log in as in Pro version. After it fails, close it and in Locus/logs directory should be a log file which I need, thanks!

Apparently, to install your apk, because it's not from the Google Play Store, I need to enable developer mode. This potentially voids my warranty and also deletes data from my machine. Chrome OS seems to be far less forgiving than Android for running apps from outside Google Play! As I'm not particularly technically minded I think I'd better be safe than sorry and stick with the current version of Locus. Thanks for all your help. It is appreciated!

Hello John,

ah, then it's quite complicated to test something.

Are you able to create on Chromebook something like "bug report" as on Android by this method?
