Why I can't see Locus Map Pro for download via Nox Player even though I've bought it 2 years ago ?

Not a Problem

I want to use Locus Map Pro via Nox Player. A message told me that "Votre appareil n'est pas compatible avec cette version" when I use Nox Player not a mobile phone. Locus Map free run very well but since I bought pro version I wanna set up in my PC.

Hi Thierry,

most probably the reason is that the emulator uses older version of Android than 5.0. Latest Locus Map is compatible with Android 5+. Nevertheless, you can install some older version from this site: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:devices_older_android.

Hi Michal,

according your comment, I checked emulator version and you're fully right, it was a old version of Nox. After downloading the last one It runs well.Just a question, It seems since last Locus Map Pro release you change scale display at the bottom left on map display.

Now when I click one time on the scale I got a scale (exemple 8 km) then a click more I got a large scale (exemple (20 km) and vice versa => only 2 possibilities

if I remember well, before (meaning with previous releases) I can get different scales by clicking several times (more than 2) with % of zoom, layer of map (...16, 17, 18...), etc. It was really useful.

What's going on since last version. Should I change parameters ? Please tell me.

In any case I'd say many thanks for your help and support. Locus Map is a very good application. I am really a fan of this application.

Great job.

Hi Thierry,

since version 3.38 there is a new map core in the app that allows automatic change of the map resolution according to the phone screen resolution (DPI). Therefore, classic approach with zoom numbers and % was abandoned as redundant. Now you can determine the map scale as it depicts reality and change the map resolution fluently. Moreover, this approach allows also overlaying of any map types and formats one over another.

best regards

Michal
