HelloI try again at this point; How can I use the internal capabilities of LM so that I can use LM remote control via Bluetooth remote control.I would like to use this Controler (https://www.amazon.de/Controller-Bluetooth-Wireless- remote control-Smartphones-R1-VR/dp/B01NBDM4AJ)What do I have to set where, so I can start LM, zoom, move the map, and set waypoints?Unfortunately, I can not continue with the hints from the forums.Greetings, Joska

Good day Jörg,

none one in our team has direct experience with Bluetooth controlling of Locus Map.

Anyway, essential to make it work is to enable Settings > Controlling > Map screen > Use hardware buttons. When you then connect your device to the mobile phone, direction arrows should move with the map. It is possible to attach buttons on the device to few functions (screen on/off, GPS on/off), but it is little more complicated over config.cfg file.

Nice discussion about this feature and improvements is here: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/external-bluetooth-controller-more-commands .

Hope this helps a little.

Hello Jörg,

one additional info if you did not yet solved this.

This controller has hardcoded some values that are sent from buttons. In Locus Map is possible to define which button does what, over the config.cfg file.

In this file are parameters "hardware_buttons_action_X", where you define button code that will trigger this action. KeyCodes are listed for example here, where you may see that "A" is equal to 29. So it should then look for example like "hardware_buttons_action_display=29" in this config.cfg file.

Hope this helps.

Menion
