Can't start Locus from Smartwatch2 when phone screen is off

Hi,

I don't know if it's a problem, or a "feature", but when I try to run Locus from my watch, while phone screen is off, it will never start, just "waiting for data" forever. When I unlock the phone, Locus starts on the phone, and my watch will immediately display the map.

Is there any setting, that would let me run Locus simply from my watch, without taking the phone out of the pocket? Would be very useful while riding a bicycle.

LG G2, stock Lollipop, Locusmap and smartwatch2 addon are the latest versions.

Regards

Good day pepe,

this is really interesting problem. Locus was wrote since begin that all main work with initialization starts when app is firstly visible. Unfortunately this method, when you start app from different place ( add-on ) cause, that app won't be visible so old system does not work.

For now, I'm sorry, but I do not have any quick solution as it will require to change how applications starts little bit. Fortunately you still may start app manually which I believe is not a big problem, just enjoying, understand.

I'll keep this problem in mind when there will be chance to improve this.

Ok, thanks for this explanation. It's not a big problem and nothing urgent, just a little bit inconvenient. I wanted to make sure, that it's not my Locus setup or my phone problem.

Because SM2 are no longer supported, I'm closing this problem. Thanks for understanding.
