go to Locus menu > more functions > Custom screen > install MS-UniCS theme. It displays active compass rose right on the map screen.

Thanks for your comment. That is not entirely what I am looking for / want. I had hoped that I had missed something in the dashboard editor. Simply simple 'course in letters'. If you drive to the southeast, then S-O on the screen. Best Regards, Erik
