Increase point coordinates accuracy

Hi, Menion.

When dealing with waypoints on Locusmap, Locus uses 6 digits after the decimal point.

We are using RTK accuracy level (under 5cm) D.I.Y external gnss receiver now, and

need for more accurate waypoint coordinates arised.

We hope 8~9 digits after decimal points. Can you apply this feature next update?

I think this change is very simple to code.

I hope 7~8 digits after decimal points. 

Oruxmaps use 7 digits.

i use RTK GPS

it use 9 digits after decimal points.

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for your dedicated efforts for making best apps for the outdoor activists.

It would be very helpful and convenient to locate more accurate places or spots in the outdoor activities when this idea is applied in the update version.

As far I do understand (by Google Search) DIY RTK cm precison gps.

Who uses cm precision? Land surveyors, modern farmers, UAV operators etc.

Rounding to 5 digits - it's 80cm error in worse case.

Rounding to 6 digits - it's 8cm error in worse case.

Rounding to 7 digits - it's 8mm error in worse case. I think, 8mm is enough.

8-9 digits - overkill.

Es kostet doch nichts, also wäre Submillimeter-Präzision auch gut. Vielleicht spielt man ja mal mit einer entsprechenden Antenne. Im Moment habe ich so ein Ardusimple Handheld Surveyor Kit und komme an die Grenzen der numerischen Auflösung bei Locus. Daran muss es nun wirklich nicht liegen.

I would really like to see this. We're also using RTK receivers and even though we get down to 2cm accuracy, the stored points in Locus can only get to around 10cm for XY and a whole meter for height.

Hi guys,

this feature is already available since 01/2021 over the "Expert settings" in the Locus Map 4 app. So please check it and let me know if it works as expected. Thanks.

I`m sorry Matthias, but most of the new improvements are not implemented in the Locus Classic. "Only" necessary changes (united in both apps) and bug-fixes. Thanks for understanding.

In general I would be interested in what are real existing use cases for Locus-users to deal with sub-meter coordinates and elevation values?
I doubt that e.g. land surveyors, where such precision is used, are dealing with equipment using Locus ;-)
