Open a gpx file from a file manager

Hi

Unfortunately locus does not support opening a gpx file by selecting it in an external file manager app. Therefore gpx files have to be opened via the locus internal file browser, which is quite inconvenient as file has to be searched again.

Hello Frank,

I'm sure, Locus Map supports most of the common file browsers. The issue may not always be on the side of Locus Map.

What file browser are you using? I may install it and check where is a problem.

Hi Menion

I'm using FX file explorer. It claims that Locus does not support opening item using content URI (in contrast to e.g. GPX Viewer). According to them this requirement comes from Google.

I checked behaviour with X-plore or Total Commander and there Locus is correctly shown in list of gpx capable apps.

Hello, then this is still an existing issue in FX File Explorer I've discovered a few months ago in this topic: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/opening-gpx-file-runs-into-error-concerning-content-uri .

Seems that the devs do not noticed this problem, so I've just wrote them an email with more info. I'll inform you if some answer arrives.
