Searching for addresses OFFLINE (USA)

I just bought LOCUS Pro a few days ago. I got a Droid without phone/data service and would love to use LOCUS Pro as my main GPS gadget. I also downloaded the vector maps and bunch of tiles in my area. The problem I have is that I don’t know what files to download (and convert?) to be able to also search offline for addresses and POIs like restaurants and the like. I have been searching for hours online to find some directions on how to do it. I even downloaded the postal codes and the http://download.geonames.org/export/d... file. Is that of any use to me?

Your help is GREATLY appreciated! :-)

Since the offline database Locus is using is not routable, Locus is using an Online-service to build routes and search for adresses.

Offline, Locus can route prebuild tracks or route via beeline (Guide on).

I see the following possibilities for You:

1) Create the routes at home via WLAN and save it.

2) Build a database of Pois (restaurants, with different categories (GPX-file format) and route it via beeline.

I know that is nor what You hoped to get but thats the only way I see
