Current locus vector map is missing POI and offline search

I recently updatet my most used vector map through Locus Store. Now I am not able to use offline search or POI with this map (it is not listed where I can choose the map in both sources). Both functions still work with other maps.

My map is the Map of Saxony in Germany (german name "Sachsen" created 2020-02-24).

I have deleted the map and reinstalled it but that did not help. For testing purposes I updated to the Berlin map to the version that was created on the same day. That still works.

What can I do?

Hello,

I quickly checked the map and I can't see any issue. Would you please use arbitrary file manager > go to the location /Locus/mapsVector/Germany:

can you see the files : 'sachsen.osm.db' and 'sachsen.osm.map' , please?

Sorry for the late reply.

In my folder [SD-Card]/[Android]/Locus/mapsVector/europe/germany/ I can find all this files.

sachsen.osm.map (175 MB)

sachsen.osm.db (77,68 MB)

I deleted them and downloadet it again via Locus store. But there is still the same problem. :(

That's strange. I'm sorry but are you sure that Sachsen map is missing in the list of POI sources? Can you please tap on any point of mentioned Sachsen map. I mean select Sachsen LoMap > and tap for example on any church, restaurant? Does Locus display additional data when you click on the point on the map?

Thanks, Petr

No additional data is shown when tapping at a point while on the Saxony map.

I am using this for years and it is the first time having problems with it.

I see. Could I kindly ask you for another test: please open Menu > Settings > Maps > Offline maps > LoMaps & Other Vector maps > Disable Automatic map loading. Restart app and select again Sachsen map to re-load it.

Do you use any alternative vector map, please? For example OpenAndroMaps?

That did not help. I have definitely chosen the correct map (it is marked with a different color).

I have a bunch of other locus vector maps installed. They are from different regions I have been to and are from the time when I have been there (from January 2014 until today) but not from other providers than LoMaps.

Clearing the cache (in Locus) helped me last time.

Wow. Clearing the Cache alone did not help.

But deleting the map, clearing the cache and then downloading the map again did help.

Thank you so much!

@Henk van der Spek thank you for your help. It's quite weird but I'm glad that's 'solved'
