Problem with polish Compass maps

Jakub Nawalaniec shared this problem 3 years ago
Not a Problem

Hi,

I'm using your maps and bought several Compass maps for Poland. They work well until I bought a larger map of Beskid Sądecki and another map of Pieniny. Pieniny is a part of Beskid Sądecki - it's just a more detailed map. As long as I'm not in Pieniny region map is loading fine. The moment I center anywhere where two maps both have data I get a composition of random tiles from both maps. The problem gets worse when I zoom into Pieniny region - it's visible that some tiles are from larger Beskid Sądeci map, and other tiles are from Pieniny map. When I move the map the tiles are flipped randomly as if the system could not decide which map to overlay. I tried disabling map auto loading but still the problem persists. I can't turn off one of the maps since they seem to be bundled in one Compass map. Please help.

EDIT: Just to be sure - I'm using only maps from Locus store and a paid version of the app.

Hi,

thank you for the post and I'm sorry for the trouble. The problem is caused due to auto-loading when Locus reads data from several files on the fly. To improve it please try the following workaround:

  • close Locus app
  • use arbitrary file manager
  • navigate the folder /Locus/maps/compass and move file Beskid_Sadecky.sqlitedb to the higher folder /Locus/maps
  • start Locus
  • open Settings > Maps > offline maps > raster maps > automatic map loading > set No map auto-load

Please let me know about progress
