Hello !

I found a thread wht is excerise me to handle child-waypoint while importing from GSAK to Locus.

Child Waypoints not correct recognized from one Geocache | Locus Map - help desk

Now I wouldt import "normal" Wayoints, not Geocaches, with childs.

But the Waypoint Name is not starting with "GC" .

So I can´t do this like the answer of the Thread above.

What can I do ... ?

I attach a file...

Yeah I solved ! :)

1. the Main-Waypoint Name must begin with "GC" , for instance "GCTree01"

2. the child must end with the waypointname without "GC" ,you can make a präfix .... like "St1Tree01"

3. then you can export the gpx with child-waypoint (I took GSAK) and import it to Locus.

5. Now you have one waypoint in Locus with childs-wayponts

Note: It better to take the own greated waypoint seperatly to another Geocache-Database. Because it may be possible to collision with other Waypointnames of Geocaching.

I use it to archive my solved LAB-Caches with solutions.

(GCLAB001 , child: st1LAB001,st2LAB001 ...)

Hello Lutz,

I'm glad you found a solution. I'll just make your answer more precise.

1. main cache have to be named as XXsome-name (so two letters, not exactly GC)

2. child waypoint must contain "some-name" in its name

Happy winter hunting ;)
