To your problem: fact that "hint" is greyed means, that app does not loaded any hint. This is not a directly problem in Locus Map, but more in a method, how the cache is loaded.
How are you loading cache into the Locus Map app?
It is also not ideal to compare Locus Map and c:geo regards loading a caches because c:geo uses little bit un-official methods to load cache data.

thank you for additional information. We are not developers of this nice Geocachin4Locus add-on, but as I see in this add-on settings, under "Live map" is option "Download hints" so please give it a try. It should help I believe.

Unfortunattely, the option is grey. I think it's for premium version but i don't know if it's premium version of locus geocaching or if it s premium vetsion of geocaching app.
