map_items_points_simplification_till_zoom parameter

I cannot find the file config.cfg in my Locus home folder where the parameter say it is in earlier topics, or a place to adjust the zoom in the advanced settings either. I am using custom icons that I need to be visible at all times. Can you help?

HI Russ,

the config.cfg is in the root directory of Locus Map:

/df9fc1b935a295500e104096d06c2528

The parameter can be found in the "Map items" section:

/4a80eef6da6d2a928d34e0d09563dc9c

Hi Russ,

I'm sorry but I can't help you with the problem that your file browser doesn't display the file. Perhaps if you somehow changed the settings of the browser?

Here is a view from my computer (windows10) on a 2nd device I have it installed on with hidden files showing (as per the checkbox) which clearly shows the file does not exist. If I cannot get my icons to show when zoomed out, this software is useless to me. Can you please help me figure out what is going on?

Is it possible that you have the main Locus directory also in some other storage? On the SD card perhaps? Could you please perform the file search accross your mobile?

I have no sd card on the 2nd device and no other Locus directory. I have searched the sd card on device1 and there is no Locus directory. Could you send me the full contents of the file and I will just create it myself and see if that works? I have attached a screenshot with the search results.

And could you please search directly for the config.cfg file?

What about my idea of building the file myself, do you think it would work?

Would you like me to zip the whole directory and send it to you?

I would really like to get this resolved, I have been looking a long time for a gps software that can do what yours does, with offline gps capabilities and custom icons. I think you may be the only one out there, at a reasonable rate anyway. I came from Streets & Trips 5 years ago, and have been looking ever since.

they are looking in Windows. It is better to search directly on your device. Use a file explorer for Android. If you can't find anything ... reinstall. But back up data beforehand.

The config.cfg file is created by the app upon installation, Without it, the app would create a new one itself.

run a backup, next take a look into the created .zip folder, there should be also the config.cfg

I uninstalled, rebooted, installed, ran app, and the .cfg file is now there. Not sure what was going on, but thanks for all the help.
