Is it possible to change Map-Text Colours for Vector-Maps like LoMaps?

My "problem" is: If i use a grayscale Raster-Map (hillshaded by steepness) as multiplied Overlay to LoMaps, in the darker (steeper) regions i can't read the Black text of LoMaps. Or is there a Mode to change all text-colors to others than Grayscale ?

Dear Markus,

well and it's there any reason why you use the "Multiply" mode? Would you please try to disable the bland mode?

Thank you, Petr

The reason to enable multiply-mode is to see high detailled Hillshade with Data of LoMaps. See Screenshots. Yes i can switch it off, to read the Text and then back on. So there is actual no Option to change the Text-Color?

Dear Markus,

there is no option to change the text color for vector maps (LoMaps), but there another possibilities:

- You can try any alternative theme for vector maps - themes are available in the Locus Store or https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?board=40.0 Honestly I'm not sure but I think that almost all themes use black color for caption of cities, places

- second option is to edit internal or any alternative theme. Theme is xml file - the rules are described at https://github.com/mapsforge/mapsforge/blob/master/docs/Rendertheme.md . The internal themes can be downloaded https://github.com/asamm/mapsforge-v3-modded/tree/master/theme-base/src/main/assets/themes/mapsforgeV3/base

Basically you need to edit all caption for "place" attributes.

Thanks for understanding

Best regards

Petr

To make my background Hillshade Map more bright was best solution.

if i want it darker i just change the main Map also to my Hillshade Map. So that Hillshade gets multiplicated with Hillshade = dark get darker.

And if i have seen what i wanted to see, i just quickly change back main map to LoMap or any other android vector map. (changing map is possible quick)

Hi Markus,

thank you for the new post. Thank you for the explanation. Anyway there isn't any new setting to change color of the texts (only to change or customize the theme)

Thanks, Petr
