[DE] LoMaps Hike&Bike Offline ad Online different Theme, why?

Moto Dirk shared this question 2 years ago
Answered

Hallo,

Wenn ich die LoMaps-Offline-Karte mit dem Thema "Hike & Bike" wähle, unterscheidet sich das Thema von der Online-LoMaps-Hike & Bike-Karte.

Warum?

Ich mag Hike & Bike online. Straßen und Gelände sind stark.

Hike & Bike Offline zeigen alles so dünn.

Bitte helfen Sie.

Vielen Dank

Dirk

Lieber Dirk,

Danke, Petr

Dear Dirk,

could I kindly ask you for screenshots of your Online and Offline LoMaps, please?

Anyway, the maps aren't 100% identical. The used technology for online and offline map is different but the goal is to offer as similar as possible maps.

Thanks, Petr

see https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=7232.msg62682#msg62682 and attached file.

The planner mainly shows cycling routes, LoMap in the application has a hiking route layer.

I think that all hiking routes displayed in offline LoMaps are also shown in the Planner (online LoMaps). Only the markers/symbols are missing. It's the limitation of online maps and it's not possible to implement these symbols at this moment.

You are right, the (cycling or hiking) paths are there, but why is the cycling symbols shown in the Planner, and not the hiking symbols, when the user is creating a hike route ? May be a feature for later :-)

The symbol of a cyclist is the same of all cycling routes and for this reason, it is possible to display it in online Planner (online LoMaps). The same symbol is used also in offline LoMaps - I guess that you turned off the cycling routes in themes for Offline LoMaps. The symbol is the part of the map (image) and can't be changed during the planning.

Thank you for the screenshot. You're right that the thickness of some elements should be improved. We'll try to change it in any further update of themes.

Thanks, Petr
