Spoiler Size

Solved

Hello,

i have download some spolier pictures with the integrated GCofflizer function. All work perfectly, but the downloaded spoiler a very big. It is only possible to zoom in but no way to some more out. It would be nice when the picture is shrink / scaled to a size that fit the display screen. I hope you understand what i mean

Before 2.10.0 there was possibility to zoom out images list, but in 2.10.0 something changes - text are always sized to page, but no more zoom out images.

it`s neverending story ... https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/top... :/

one problem solved, second created. Thank you for information Thomas, I`m going to find any solution for both issues at once.

So to answer exactly your question. As Layio said, it worked before 2.10.0, but due to change because of mentioned issue, it stopped to work. I`m changing your topic to issue and I`m going to fix it

I`m unable to find working solution that will works on both cases. Anyway I think that working zoom-out on images is more useful then slim white border on new devices, so I`m reverting code to older version where work zoom-out on images and web pages correctly. So problem solved for now

Maybe changing resolution (width that fits to screen) of pictures after downloading could be good solution.

This is not good solution, sometimes spoiler images are big, but has important, small details. Maybe Locus resize on fly images to fits screen, but click on image will resize to oryginal all images.

With the new Version 2.20.0 I have already this problem. I can't fit the picturesize to screensize. Bigger is no problem. My system is Galaxy S2 with Android 4.1.2

May you please write me more?

You used Geocaching Offlinizer on any cache and images in "Images" tab, cannot be enlarged to fit whole screen? If so, may you give me GC code so I can test it on own SGS2 I use for developing? Thanks

There was a new cache yesterday and i used the Offlinizer with the previous version <2.20 (i dont know the right number) and i do the update to the last version two hours later. It can be a problem with the old pictures in the mem. Yes i use the Images tab and use the Offlinizer only if i need the Pictures. I will retry the Offlinizer if i had a dataconnection, i am now in the wrong country :-/

This is the cache with many big pictures GC50XC8. Thanks for the fast answer :-)

Ok, thanks Andreas, understand.

So I would like to open discussion about this (with all). At least small experiences with HTML are welcome.

Starting point is Locus in version 2.20.0, not older!

  1. firstly delete directory Locus/data/geoaching/8/C/GC50XC8 if exists
  2. start Locus and over Geocaching4Locus import mentioned cache GC50XC8
  3. use GC Offlinizer with GC Live API. You should get new page with 7 images

Fine, now you may see that images are not possible to zoom out to max. In mentioned directory is loaded 7 images + one HTML file. When you open this file in any other web browser on your device. You will most probably get same results as in Locus.

So question is how to handle this.

I see possibility to

  • resize images and store them smaller
  • resize images in HTML page by width, height parematers to fix screen better
  • use some JavaScript and allow work with them dynamically in page, like resize on tap or similar

It is simple possible to edit and test this HTML file, so feel free to give me working solutions, because I'm not much skilled HTML coder ;)

Hello menion,with V 20.2.0.2 i follow your steps 2+3

"When you open this file in any other web browser on your device. You will most probably get same results as in Locus"

i get another result in HTML-Viewer on my device, see video

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ms9tikqua3qe4m4/GC50XC8.mp4

and on PC with Firefox and "Ctrl+mouswheel" i am also able to zoom this photos

I see the same behavior!

But what is the problem? Just fit the pictures to the screen???

and what it mean "Fit the picture"? Resize them (so store already smaller size), or set them size to X % in HTML code? In both cases you loose some data.

If I do not resize, you should try method I wrote above. You'll get same results probably.

@balloni: thanks, we will look on it today. On PC it is different story and not much comparable, so test has to be done only on device browser

Fine, so if anyone help to test, it will be perfect. I'm worried that on every device, it may works a little bit different.

Test version is here http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=3796.msg27973#msg27973
