Missing zoom & map rotate buttons

Hi,

I just got version 4.0. And now I'm searching for the buttons "+" and "-" to zoom in and out to predefined zoom levels. Is it possible to get them back somehow? I used them to define the map area for downloading / updating my offline maps. Doing this by finger wiping is insufficient, because it's diffcult to guess, wether I will update all my old map tiles or will get many new tiles (I don't want to get) or I will miss to update many old map tiles (I want to update). With the "+" and "-" buttons (and the map centring or track centring functions) this was quite easy to do.

Another button I missed was that one to switch on and off the map orientation by compass. But I just found out, that the GPS centring button now has three functions: If GPS is deactivated, it switches on and off GPS centring. If GPS is activated, it switches on and off the map orientation by compass instead (if GPS centring is on already). And if I hold the finger on it, I switch on and off the GPS centring lock mode. I'm not sure, wether this function combination on one button is useful for me. Especially I don't understand, what the GPS centring lock mode really does.

Hello tkansgar,

The map zoom buttons have moved above the bottom panel and can be optionally hidden, as can the record button and all sidebars.

Settings> Controls> Panels and buttons> Zoom button visibility

The center and rotate maps button now works like this:

- 1 click places the position at the cursor position

- 2 clicks turn on map rotation

- hold finger - "hold map center" is switched on, ie the off-center position is automatically centered in 5 seconds (can be changed).

Have a nice day

Yes! Found it. Many thanks!

The center and rotate maps button is not very intuitive now, I think.
