Flag to hide maps from "Quick Map Switch"

It would be nice if you could hide maps from the "Quick Map Switch". I have some maps that can only be used as overlays (with alpha channel), so they make no sense in the Quick Map Switch. Especially with the new support of overlaying any map over another with the coming 3.38 (?) version, this should affect more people.
I like this idea 
Or maybe just hide from quick map switch the map that has been used as an overlay (this may not be nice when overlaying regular maps)? Or allow to delete entry from quick map switch manually?
