Overlays preferences don't work.
Solved
I use Oam map. I unchecked all options in external theme that comes with that map. Still everything is visible (bars, parking, public transport) on the map. Too much, I only want see hiking routes. What is wrong?

I checked the OAM with the elevate theme and it seems to work correctly. Could I ask you for some screenshot s that depict the issue. I'd also ask you to contact the authors of the theme/map

I guess that you use also a LoPoins database. Please try:
Main Menu > More functions > LoPoints offline > three dot menu in top panel > disable Show on map
