New waypoint points to main cache

Drumpldeer shared this problem 2 years ago
Solved

I i create a new waypoint in a Multi-Cache and start the guidance via the button with the arrow to the circle, than the map is focussed to the main-cache and not to the new created waypoint.

This is a bit annoying when the main cache is a few miles away and you have to scroll again.

When i change an existing waypoint and click on the same button, the waypoint is also displayed on the map.

Is it possible to change this, because i think with a previous version it worked differently.

Best regards, Jens.

Hello Jens

- if main cache window is displayed (listing) an you start "guide on" with the arrow to the circle you´ll be guided to the listing coords.

- if you open a WPT or create a new WPT and click the "arrow to the circle button" inside the WPT window locus will guide you to the WPT coords.

Hi Jens,

tap the centering button and you get your location in the middle (to get back to your location automatically, hold the centering button until "hold center" is confirmed). To get back to the waypoint, tap the upper info box.

Hi Michal,

yes that is the workaround which i use too. But with previous version, i could create a waypoint, start the guidance and the map was focusing this waypoint instead the Main-Cache-Coords. And so i had not to click another button or scroll around.

Hello Wolfgang,

yes, i know what you describe in the first point, that is clear. :-)

But how you describe the second point it does not work currently. If i start the guidance from inside the created Waypoint, then Locus jump to the Coords from the Main-Cache and not to the Waypoint-Coords.

I think I described this a bit wrong or confusing. The guidance is already made to the newly created waypoint, but it is not focused or centered on the map. The map is centered on the main cache at the start of the guidance and I then have to scroll to see where the guidance is pointing. I hope that describes it better.

Hello Jens,

you are right, this behavior should be improved !

I suggest you, create an idea and refer to this post

i´ll vote for it

Hmm, why should i create an extra idea, when we already have this problem-topic here and could use it? This is rather duplicative and makes it confusing? I can still do that if necessary, but wouldn't it be easier to work with this topic?

i'm afraid since michal marked the post as "not a problem" the topic is done for menion

Hi guys,

it is a little problem for me.

What you expect to be an ideal solution? When you add a waypoint and tap on the "Guide to" button, you expect that map center on this new point? If so, ok, it will be improved in the next version.

Hi Menion,

thank you very much for the fast support!

"When you add a waypoint and tap on the "Guide to" button, you expect that map center on this new point?"

Yes that was the wish. :-)
