Tengo una imagen satelital en formato IMG y la ubiqué en "maps" en la estructura de carpetas del dispositivo y no logro ver la imagen, y me sale el error "la ruta seleccionada no es correcta"

IMG map format is supported only partially. However, this kind of alert does not appear when there is a problem with map. Could you please post screenshot of it here? On the other hand, if you are seeking for solution for GIS professionals, try Locus GIS - it supports importing of SHP files also. see https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=menion.android.locus.gis
