2 different distances for notification guidance

When I go to a point (geocache waypoint), I would like to be notified twice. One time 150m before and one 40m before.

I have tried the following.

1. Notification at approach and distance 150m -> then comes only one message: distance 150m on eg. 11 clock. A message on arrival does not follow.

2. Notification at approach (repetition and distance 150m -> then comes every 150m a message (600m, 450m, 300m, 150m A message on arrival does not follow.

Since I shortly before again want a message I then reduced the distance to 40m. But then comes every 40m a message (15 messages within 600m, which annoys properly)

Wish:

One message at 150m and one at 40m

Idea:

2 Define distances

1. Notification at approach -> distance 1 (150m) comes a message, distance 2 (40m) comes a message

2. Notification at approach (repetition) -> distance 1 (150m) every 150m comes a message, distance 2 (40m) comes a message

Alternative:

Just like now, however, you can specify how many messages you want to target. Locus then takes the last one before the destination (as indicated) and the others are distributed evenly across the route.

Idea from here: http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=5700.0

In Deutsch:

Danke

When distance reaches 1 (150m). Then notify all distance 2 (40m). In this case at 80m and 40m.

Variant of "dermannvommond" I find good

The supplement of the manvommond I find quite well. But depending on the combination could be many notifications. For "Distance 1" 200m and "Distance 2" 40m. Then in the last 200m 5 notifications would come. Since one would then be able to choose how many notifications for "Abstand 2" should be done. The last should always be 40 m before.

Yes I did not think of that. The idea with the maximum notifications for distance 2 is good

These are good ideas. I have an additional idea: Could we get a shortcut to these settings while we're under guiding? It would be nice if we could make adjustments to notifications during guidance, without having to go far into the menu.

You can set up above via the menu

I have been using this required "new" feature for many years. For example, I use a 200m alert and a 50m alert. These options are available for many years.

How are you doing that? I can only configure one notification for points?

photo

Example:

1. POI notification 200m

2. Guidance notification 50m

Thank you, but I can only find this:

Settings -> Guidance -> Notifications

Where is the other setting?

Yes :-)

Condor is so mysterious :).

He probably talks about POI alert feature, where you may define notifications on all points in defined range, right? Then this will be one notification and current active guidance will be second notification.

When I'm looking for a cache or a stage. Then I enter route guidance.

I have a distance of 750 meters.

I give as a notification 200 meters. Then the last notification comes 200 meters before. And maybe I'll pass the finish.

If I enter 30 meters, the notification comes 30 meters before and I get my phone out of my pocket and look at the rest. But from 750 meters to 30 meters come a lot of notifications (every 30 meters) and that bothers a lot.

Therefore you should be able to choose a 2nd distance for the last notification before the finish.

Yes, I have the same problem as well. Sometimes I have even more distance (1000 meters)

And I want to go quietly in nature. But my smartphone is talking all the time.

Could you introduce a general last distance. Does not have to be adjustable in the app. Could also be in the config.

if it is easier to integrate with the config variant, you can do it that way. The main thing I have the opportunity. A permanent last hint is always good.

It would be good if the route guidance parallel to the navigation is usable. And then I can enter 2 distances.

I navigate a bike ride and see a cache at a distance. Now I want to use the route guidance but not end my navigation.

When pure geocaching I want a notification every 200m and finally 20m before.
