OSM maps in img format for Garmin
Answered
We occasionally go out at the weekend on a +/- 15km long loop with our Garmin Oregon. The maps we use are downloaded from a German site and are based on the osm maps. So we have 3 different maps of the Benelux/France zone on an external sd card. Their size ranges from1GB to 2,5 GB.
Are .img maps compatible with Locus Map and isn't their size excessively big? As I'll get a new smartphone I'd like to use it as a gps as a replacement of our aging Garmin.
Christian
Hi Christian,
.img maps are supported partially. If your .img files are encrypted for use in Garmin, then they can't be used in Locus. You can test them in Locus Map Free.
