Conflict with Accessibility Controls

I like to use Locus Maps in full screen mode and I double-tab to show the top, bottom etc panels when needed.

However if I enable:

Android Settings > Accessibility > Magnification Gestures,

'double-tap' on Locus Maps no longer works.

Would it be possible to have an alternative to double-tap such as a small overlay to expand the panels (like what is used to expand the 'Map-screen Content')?
