POI search minimum 3 characters is too much

Actually a lot of Asia pacific places (especially Chinese, Korean) are named with only 2 CJK characters. The minimum 3 characters query limitation for the POI search is somehow very inconvenient for us. I need to always type a space at the end to trigger the search, in hope that the keyword is followed by a space preceding some English words. If the keyword is in the middle or beginning, I have no luck at all.
