Dropbox structure issue
Solved
Hello. I have a strange problem. When I try to export (or import) a track to or from Dropbox, the application does not display the entire structure of my Dropbox drive. Just some folders and files. I tried to log out and clear the cache but didn't resolve. No problem with GDrive instead.
Does anyone have a possible solution. Thank you
Hi Davide,
log out from Dropbox in Locus file browser, delete Locus cache data in your phone system settings > Applications and then add (log in) Dropbox in Locus file browser again. The file browser can be accessed e.g. when tapping the "import" button anywhere in the app.

Hi Davide,
honestly, we don't have a clue. If all your personal Dropbox folders are shared correctly with you, they should appear in Locus. Dropbox folders of other users (shared with you) may not be accessible by Locus but this is not verified - it is verified on Google Drive though.
Nobody else has ever reported this kind of issue so we are waiting for some more feedback.

I have same problem in tablet (Android 7) . I tried to check in another device (Android 10) and as soon as I click on the Dropbox icon, same status was happened. It is not possible return back, to see Dropbox folders structure. All recommended steps I did.

Dear Menion.
Yes, after I taped on icon, it didn't move to root of Dropbox. I did in both mobiles I have (different Android version in). I felt same problem David has.

Dear David.
Thanks for confirmation. I don't want to test in another mobil, third, where is still correctly setup. Once I test, I cannot change back.

I have the same problem as it looks. Deleting the cache, logging out and logging in, uninstalling and reinstalling everything doesn't help.
In the app I only get 4 folders and several files in the root. I could tell that it is the 4 youngest folders in the Dropbox. So I renamed my GPX folder in the Dropbox, and now I see 5 folders, so the GPX folder is now available. It doesn't solve the real problem, but I can live with it.

Yes. The best explanation. Unfortunately Locus team doesn't care. Your solution probably can help. But for how long? Now Locus is business, enthusiasm of developers from beginning disappears. 🙁

Hi guys,
Zdeňku, I think your comment is not fair. Understand that simply defined a problem with 4 months without a solution is a shame for our team and mainly to me.
How many folders/files you have in your Dropbox? I'm testing it on 10 folders and around 200 files in one of them and I see all correctly.
Anyway, I made a small update in how the content of the folder is loaded so give it a try in the next Locus Map version and let me know if it helped.

Dear Menion.
Unfortunately after yesterday's update, now v. 3.51.1, I have found no possibility to export tracks to Dropbox dedicated file for Locus export. I think, tat it is another issue then previous closed, solved issue with Dropbox, which I had. Export to Dropbox is possible but only to root. Thank you for solving it. Zdenek

Hi Menion,
same problem: no export to Dopbox possible since last update.
Error: XXXXX, Code: 12561 (screenshot attached)
Changed the export to GoogleDrive without that issue.
Regards, Otfried

Hello guys,
ah, you are both correct. One new issue created in a recent update.
It will need one more version: so 3.51.2 planned for the start of next week.
Sorry for the complications!
