Locus Map for Garmin - GPX import has stopped working

Hello,

i am using Locus Map for Garmin, to import GPX-Tracks on my Fenix 6X Pro Solar. Yesterday i imported the last GPX-Track and i had no problems.

Today i updated some apps (Garmin Connect). Afterwards it was impossible for me, to import GPX-Tracks.


This is my hardware:

Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S10 with Android 10

Watch: Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar with software version 11.10


These are the steps i've already done, to fix the issue:

- Reinstalling and reconnecting Locus Map for Garmin on my Smartphone and on my watch

- Deleting the Cache for the Apps: Locus Map Pro, Locus Map for Garmin and Garmin Connect

- Disconnecting my Watch from Garmin Connect, reboot into Recovery-Mode, Wipe Dalvik Cache, reconnecting the watch with my smartphone

- Checking the battery settings (all optimizations for the apps are deactivated)


P.S.: There seems to be a problem with the new version of the Garmin Connect app! Can you confirm this?

thanks for detailed feedback. Yes, it indeed seems, that they broken it with new Garmin Connect app. I am trying to figure out more details now.

Hello Jan,

i hope that you'll find the bug and can fix it.

I really need this feature. It is horrible to import GPX-files using the Garmin Connect homepage.

Same problem here.

Locus Map Pro v3.49

Locus for Garmin v 2

Garmin Connect 4.36.2


Not able to transfer routes from locus map to garmin fenix 6 pro.

Hope to see this function work again, excellent feature!

Similar problem... any other method is such a pain. As well, my Strava import broke too. Not sure if this is related. I'm using Fenix 5X and latest Locus/Connect version.

Issue was reported to Garmin team and we are waiting for their response. If you have Garmin login, you can upvote related bug report in their forums.

Hello guys,

I got the same problem.

F6x pro solar and used to import files with locus map.

Hope we'll find a fix soon..


Btw I found a workaround using the phone but not tested yet in real training.


You can launch locus on the phone, start the tracking and use locus maps on the watch directly..

Today, i downgraded my Garmin Connect App to v4.35.1 (from apkmirror) and everything works fine again.

I'll wait for an Update wich will fix this issue, because the most current version 4.36.3 is still broken.

Today, Garmin released a new version of the Connect-App (4.37).

Locus Map Pro was updated, too (3.49.1).

Unfortunately, the issue still presist. Downgrading to Garmin Connect App v4.35.1 doesn't help this time, because it seems the Locus Map team did also change something!

@Jan Čapek: Please make the workaround work again with the current release of Locus Map Pro.

UPDATE:


It seems that there is no problem with the new Locus Map Pro, but the problem still presists with the Connect App!

This morning i couldn't upload a gpx to my watch and i thought there was a problem with the Locus Map Pro Update, but the problem was only the new Connect-App. My fault!

UPDATE 2:


Now, i saw that there is also an Update for "Locus Map for Garmin" (2.2.5). After updating it on my Garmin, evrything works with the current versions! Thread can be closed, thank you!

It is only strange, that you had to update also Locus Garmin app Thomas, it should work also with previous version and GCM 4.37. Anyway, I am marking it as solved, yay.
