Payment silver subscription

Not a Problem

As a version 3 pro registered user I try to subscribe for the free year silver version 4. On the payment page an error message is displayed that my master card cannot be validated with my bank. However the card is fully operational, works with other online payments and is valid till 2026. I tried adding it again to my google payment account but still no success. What can I do?

Dear Roger,

I'm sorry for the complication but the subscription payments are completely managed by Google Play Store. We can't influence it.

I'd suggest the following:

- try a different card (ideally the credit not debit card)

- try alternative payment methods. Please see supported payment methods for your country (PayPal, mobile payments).

Hello!

I made some inquiries with my bank (Deutsche Bank) and they informed me that for the moment Master card and also Visa do not collaborate with Google Pay any longer because there seems to be some problem with the European payment rules that Google refuses to follow.

So using another card is not an option I suppose.   

My mobile provider (Telenet) does not support this kind of payment method either.

And I don't have a PayPal account because I had some serious with Paypal some time ago.

Are there any other options?  After all the upgrade to Silver Locus is a null operation because the first year is free of charge.

I really like to use its features, and later on I would like to switch to Gold status because of the list of available maps.

dhould be Master card and also Visa supported by Google Play.

The first year of the silver subscription is free of charge, so I should buy a gift card for zero Euro, which is not possible.

I think that you can use the balance for further payments, for example for renewal of Silver subscription, or use it for the purchase of content in a different app.

Anyway, I'd like to also kindly ask you to contact Google Play support because mentioned MasterCard and Visa card should be accepted in Germany. I'm sorry but we can use only payment methods accepted by Google Play, there isn't any other alternative at this moment.

Hi Roger,

I don't want to interfere, but maybe it helps. I guess the paying issue could be just a misunderstanding with your bank. Google pay offers different services and indeed paying directly in “physical stores” is not possible with credit cards issued from Deutsche Bank in the Netherlands (same as in Germany btw.) However, paying apps in the play store should be possible with all credit cards (see here and here). So I think it must be something else...
